to be honest i don't have much to tell this week hahah a lot happened but not anything new hahah sorry! one cool thing did happen in church. i heard last week a quote buy pres Harold B lee that says after being asked "what do you do when your in a boring class or sacrament meeting" he said "i've never been in one". it hit me really hard because even in the mission sometimes i get really bored hahah. so this week i just decided even though i may think i know a lot about the topics they talked about i just wanted the spirit to testify to me. as i sat i just focused out all the kids crying and people taking and listened to the speakers and something really awesome happened! i don't think i've ever learned so much on a sunday! i walked out of the church feeling the spirit really strong. im not telling this to boast i just want you all to try it if you already aren't doing it because its awesome!
so some awesome news, we only get 30 mins every week to write so ill be brief!
Wednesday we went to a little town in our area that we don't know and when we get there it just starts pouring hahah but we found some memebers to stay with till it let up a bit. then in the afternoon the sun comes out and mazatlan turned into a sauna hahah.
on friday we had interviews with our new pres! in then morning as we were studying he calls us and tells us we needed to run to the church for a meeting with him and the stake pres haha we were a little nervous but i learned a lot in the meeting! then later that day we had our interview. it was really cool! its a little tough cuz ive been working one way for 22 months and all the sudden i have to change but i really like the changes hes making and im pretty excited to work this next 6 weeks!!!
on sunday we had an investigator come and it was her first time. well during sacrament meeting we were sitting next to the kid who brought his iPod and in the meeting he was blasting his music and the whole ward kept looking back at this kid. it was a little rough to focus and i got a little frustrated with him. but about half way through the meeting his mom finally took it away from him haha.
today we had transfers!! thankfully i get to stay in juarez to "Die" (end my mission) with elder Sant!!! so im super excited!! today we do have to help with everyone else. we got up at 5 to start sending and receiving missionarys and that should end at about 6 haha but everything's awesome here!
hey sorry im writing early! were going to culiacan for a meeting and were staying in a hotel!!
hope everythings going well at home! right now its raining so hard its nuts!! its up to my knees in the street hahah so we wont be washing clothes today either.
we had a good week this week, nothing to special but were staying busy and i love mazatlan!! The zone keeps making jokes about how im going home and calling me trunky but i tell em i aint trunky yet fellers (in my southern accent). i'm hoping to have a few more baptisms before i go. there's this family we're teaching and there so awesome! they understand and keep all the commandments since they were Christians before but they believe in revelation so they left their old church. they come every week to clean the church and the dad wants to start finding less actives to come to church too ahahaha its super fun teaching them. they wanna send there kids on missions too!! its carzy how their understanding of the gospel has changed! there only problem is the mom has to get divorced from her ex then they can get married, it just depends on time if ill be there for their baptism but will see! ill be on for 25 mins more......... love you guys!!
