well life with a new comp is weird haha.
monday night we went and dropped off elder velez at the airport, but we had to wait till about six for the other missionary to come which was awkward being with my new comp and my old comp haha. while i was in the airport i realized that airports are just a really busy mall with a lot more security checks and after people get on planes haha. when elder velez finally got on the plane elder islas and i went back to the area and went to the bishops house. after we bought food for the week and ended the day.
tuesday to saturday were some rough days for me. elder islas is awesome and i love the kid but hes super shy and nervous around everyone. At first i had to teach the majority of the lesions which is super hard with my little spanish but we work through and the investigators understand. the good thing is hes really obedient and loves the work. it was pretty interesting getting use to how he teaches and how we can work together in lessons and street contacts.
sunday was really weird haha, as we were walking to church two drunk guys stopped us and started talking to us about God. one told us he knew God and that we needed to meet God and the other kept on yelling AMEN! then he asked us where our church was and elder islas invited them to come with us to church. hahah i know were suppose to invite others to come unto Christ and all but i dont think when their drunk haha. they said no thankfully and then asked for 20 pesos haha we said we dont give out money. i dont know why everyone thinks we have money haha .
today we went bowling!! it was pretty fun we went with our DL and his new comp. and after we ate pizza. pretty fun day!
things are a little rough right now but i'm sure they'll pick up this week. i love being here and i know this is where im suppose to be!

March 16th:
alright well monday night i got a call from the secretaries telling me im going to culiacan the next day. so i got up at 3 again and headed off to the the big city. when i got to the imaginations office my comp called (since we were on splits because he doesn't like to go to culiacan) and told me we are going on splits on Wednesday! so i waited in the immigration offices for the funnest 4 hours of my life, it was a lot like the dmv but the waiting area is tiny and there was like 20 missionarys and a bunch of other people, it was hot and sweaty and everything was in spanish. after that i went to McDonal's with the missionary i was on splits with and some sisters. McDonald's is a joke down here, a big mac is like double the cost and half the size. while we were there the assistants called us and told us to come back to the office because a member brought food for all of us haha. so we went and ate again and then headed back to mazatlan.
Wednesday we had our district meeting then i went on splits with our district leader. it was pretty fun and after we ate chorreadas.
thursday to saturday were pretty normal, we have two new real investigators! J A got his right eye operated on so now he can see out of one of his eyes, but he has to recuperate so he cant leave his house for 3 weeks which means he cant come to church which is a bummer. but hes supper happy and cant wait to read the book of mormon.
saturday night was when we got our calls for changes. we waited till 11 to get our call. my new companions name is Elder Islas and Elder Velez is headed to La Paz to be a district leader! its sad but its part of the mission.
sunday we went around to all of the members and elder velez said bye to all of them. also we gave JA a picture of when he got baptized and he loved it! today elder velez packed while i clean the house for my new comp, we picked up Elder Islas and ate with a member. after we are done writing we have to go to the airport to drop off Elder velez.
pretty crazy week but im excited to be with Elder Islas.
