on tuesday i went to pick up my new comp Elder Maldonado. hes got 14 months in the mission ( just like me). were co district leaders. Elder Maldonados pretty cool, hes from mexico city! he was the lead singer in a band before the mission, hes got a lot of experience as a district leader so hes basically training how to be one.
on wendsday i had my first district meeting. thankfully the districts really small it just me and my comp, a companionship of sisters and the zone leaders. i was super nervous but it went really well, every one participated and i think every one understood me haha. after the meeting i got a call from the offices and they told me i had to go to culiacan the next day. after i showed my comp the area for the rest of the day.
thursday we worked in the morning then i got pack to go to culiacan. while i was packing it hit me that it was thanksgiving haha. it blew my mind that i had forgotten one of my favorite holidays! well before my plane left we went to go eat with a member. so we get to her house and knock on the door and she asks us to sit on the porch and wait (it was raining by the way) and we thought she was just cleaning her house or something and she was gonna invite us in. but instead she hands us our plate through the window and tells us to leave the plates by the door when we were done. haha i dont wanna sound un grateful or anything but eating beans and tuna on the porch while its raining isnt the funnest thing in the world. we just kinda sat there quietly on the porch for a sec shocked and then we kinda giggled and my comp says "happy thanksgiving Elder!" hahahah i about died laughing! this experience has made me grateful for all the awesome thanksgivings full of football ,food and family! im not telling you guys this story to feel bad i just thought it was funny.
so after the FEAST we ran too the airport and when i got there i found out I was gonna be riding with a sister missionary. i thought it was a little weird but not that big of a deal till the zone leaders thought it was hilarious and as we were going to board the plane one of them yelled "have a nice date!" and i felt my face turn about 8 shades of red. thankfully the sister missionary sister Heywood was chill about it. we talked and the plane ride was like 45 minutes. when we got to culiacan i stayed the night with the assistants. i was really bummed because when i got to there house they didnt have any food. and i was really hungry haha. the next day we went to imaginations and got everything done fast. the rest of the day i went to work with some other elders. i had fun because we went to paint a class room for a teacher who is a member. it was really hard to not get any paint on our clothes but i made it out with out to much paint. the next day i flew in with sister Heywood in san lucas. then i got on a bus alone to go back to san jose. as i was on the bus two people get on the bus and walk right up to me and before saying they were members or even hi on of them kinda yells "wheres your companion!" and i just panicked and said "san jose!" haha then i explained i was heading back to my area and they told me they were members from colorado on vacation. haha they thought it was weird i was alone but they talked with me for a little bit. they got off and then later i got off and was finally with my comp again haha. we went to stake conference on saturday then sunday. on sunday after the conference president wanted to interview all the missionarys. it was my first interview with him but it went well!
today we didnt do anything all that fun. just the normal but we were pretty exshuasted form this week so it was good haha.

December 7th:
well this week was pretty good.
we worked pretty hard this week. our pres wants a baptism from every companionship this month. its gonna be hard but were really working for it. nothing much to report really hahaha just lost of work. from thusrsday to saturday we didnt have any water, that wasnt very fun at all. my comps great, hes a hard worker.
sunday we went to the Christmas devotional too. i went to the bishops office with another from California to watch it in ingles. its always a spiritual recharge to listen to the apostles speak.
today we woke up and again we didnt have any water. we went to the first floor to this office to ask why theres no agua and they said someone had stolen a pipe. so we had to wait till they fixed it to wash out clothes. later we went with some members and ate tacos with them. pretty good week. getting ready for xmas! we made a tree with cards we have to contact with. we taped them to the wall in the form of a tree. haha its really sad looking but its better than nothing haha.
