So on tuesday i had the great opportunity to go to culiacan for immigration!! at 330 am i took a wonderfully cold shower and then we went to the bus stop, i went on splits with Elder Menarick ( i cant remember how the spell his name haha) because Elder Velez didnt wanna go. the bus ride was 3 hours long then another hour long bus ride to the office. at 10 am twenty missionarys ( 16 were sisters) went to the immigration office with the secretaries. when we got their they told is us the computers were down so we had to spend the day in culiacan. Elder Menarick just had to pick up his card so he and another missionary got to go home while i went with Elder Reyes , who is in my zone, for the day. we went contacting in the secretaries area while they had to work in the mission office. I found out Culiacan is a lot hotter than Mazatlan. and the streets are super steep. and the people aren't as nice haha. at 4 the secretaries invited us to their zone conference so we went to get out of the heat. it went on forever and ever. after we had to go with the secretaries to get hotel rooms for all the sisters. after we went back to the mission office and the ordered pizza. after we went to the secretaries house and because they were still hunger they ordered another pizza haha. they only had two beds so the secretaries slept on the floor while Elder Reyes and i slept in the beds. the next day we went to immigration again and they still weren't working ( gotta love the dependable mexican government!!!) so our pres. sent us back home.
Thursday WE GOT A FRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! other than that it was normal and so was friday.
Saturday was my Birthday, i didnt really think anything of it. my companion was more excited than i was haha. he had the pres. and his wife call. he handed me the phone and said "its for you!" when i saw it was the pres i said "im not here!" and gave it back to him but he wouldnt take it so i answered terrified, thinking what did i do! but they started sing "Happy NO birthday to you" which made me laugh pretty hard. at lunch the sister missionarys bought me a cake and we took half of it home cuz it was huge. then that night one of the sisters in the ward said she bought a coke for me ( i guess they know me to well down here ) and when we got there , their was a big sign and a bigger cake and a really big coke, so we ate more cake!!!!! it was a pretty good Birthday.
Sunday was normal also.
Today i cleaned my clothes again then we went to the beach and took pictures and after bought food for the week!
To Dad:
its been a pretty crazy week but this week we taught this women and it was just a normal first leccion. but at the end we had her pray and she was a little nervous but she gave one of the most spiritual prayers ever. it wasn't anything special but she truly asked god and thanked him and at the end we just kinda sat there for a good ten minutes as the spirit filled the room, it was one of the most spiritual moments iv had. also in my patriarchal blessing said that in my first few months ill know why i was sent here at this time and ive been really praying and asking what it is and on tuesday with all the craziness my prayers were answered. im feeling pretty good right now.
