April 4th:
what a week haha.
well monday at about 1030 my comp finally arrived. his name is Elder Mite. hes from Ecuador! 9 comps, 2 from mexico,2 from the US and 5 from south america! The best way to describe him is a 5 foot 2 energizer bunny haha hes loads of fun and super excited to work.
tuesday to friday i was showing my comp the area. we invited all the members to get ready for general conference! other than that a pretty normal week. its getting hotter.
Saturday and Sunday was full of General Conference. Theres only two of us from the US and the district pres let us watch it in english in the office on a computer. theres a gas station a block away from the church so we bought a bunch of junk food haha. it was so weird to listen to people talk about the gospel in english hahaha. i loved all the talks and learned a lot. also our mission pres got called as a 70 so that was pretty exciting. I learned to love General Conference in my mission, its like a mormon super bowl haha
Today we played soccer in the morning and did the normal pday stuff. sorry if my emails have gotten repetitive, but its kinda the same stuff, we study in the morning, we work in the day, we eat (sometimes some crazy stuff) we word some more, we home plan and do it all over again. it might sound a little boring but its an emotional roller-coaster for me hahaha. we get asked a lot by people after we explain what we do and they ask if we ever get tired of it and i love what elder Taveras use to say to them "what we learn in 2 years no one could learn in a 100 years", i testify to that, ive learned to be grateful for the life i had, to be born in the gospel, awesome family and friends, ( pretty much ) learn spanish, gain a testimony that the church is really true and to know where i wanna go and who i wanna be. the missions awesome.

April 11th:
hello family
the weekly run down goes like this:
tuesday in our district meeting we found out that one of the elders in the zone had lost his passport so he had to go to mexico city to renew it. so we took on his comp for a couple of days. the elder that accompanied us was elder martinez from panama. it was interesting to work in 3s . the first night elder mite and elder martinez bought some green bananas and fried them and we ate them with rice. it was so good! the banana tasted like fries but with a banana taste. so i ate pretty well this week because every night they wanted to cook haha. the whole week went by pretty fast, we just worked a lot.
we have a couple of instigators we are working with but we have a lot of less actives we are working with too. if all the less actives were to be active we might have a stake here! haha i feel like my emails are getting smaller and smaller. a lot of weird things happen to me still they just dont faze me as often. dogs chase us often on the bikes haha. my bike brakes a lot too... but everything's good here in escuinapa. today we ate tamales barbones ( bearded tamales) there special to escuinapa. their tamales with shrimp inside but there whiskers stick out which makes them look like they have beards haha, and there pretty dang good. i ate 8 haha. and my little comp ate 10 haha. he eats like double than me and im like twice his size haha.
this week we are going to mazatlan for our multi zone meeting and were pretty excited to goto that!
i hope everyone has a good week, i found this scripture i really like : psalms 82:6
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
we are all a child of god. i cant remember who but some one said in the conference that God sees us as our potential and we should see others as their potential. pres. monson said that our choices decide our destiny and we must choose Christ to realize our potential to live with our heavenly parents again. remember this, this week. love you guys!

April 18th:
ok well here we go!
tuesday i went on divisions to another little town called rosario. it was fun, rosarios a lot cleaner than escuinapa and it doesn't smell like burning garbage haha.
Wednesday was a pretty normal day.
thursday was a bit "locotron" (super crazy), we got up at 530 to go to mazatlan, the whole way there we had to stand in the pathway because there were no seats and i had to listen to the elders of the zone inform me that they were hungry hahah i told them i was hungry too. we got to mazatlan just in time to the meeting . when i walked in my mission president told me i had to conduct the meeting. as you can imagine the quite person i am i just loved that opportunity hahaha. but it went well i think. after we were allowed to eat where we wanted as a zone and then head back to escuinapa. i had the horrible idea to let the zone try and decide together were they wanted to eat but after a good 30 minutes i found that they were never going to decide so i had to make the decision haha. (as you can see im not the best zone leader hahah) then everyone wanted to go take pictures on the board walk which also took forever haha. but we finally made it back to escuinapa safe and sound.
friday was a good day. i went on divisions again but i stayed in my area.
saturday i woke up sick! its like 90 degrees and i have a cold? i took some medicine in the morning and about 10 minutes later i all the sudden had a bunch of pain in my chest so i asked for a blessing from my comp and the elders that live in the apartment under us and as soon as they gave me the blessing i felt a lot better. pretty crazy stuff.
sunday i was still sick but it was a good day. we ate chile rellenos which is one of my favorite foods here! its a really big chile but stuffed with cheese and meat and fried.
today i feel a lot better. we just cleaned our apartment and my comp cooked spaghetti with rice, hes really funny any thing he makes it has to be with rice.
